Moulin de Pierretoune is a beautiful Basque style water mill which dates from 1550. It is located just outside the village of La Bastide Clairence, voted one of the most beautiful villages in France. The mill is set in a valley on the river Arberoue. There are 4 bedrooms: 3 double bedrooms and 1 twin and a newly fitted bathroom. All bedrooms have views over the surrounding countryside and the river. Downstairs there is a large hallway, large living/dining room with fireplace and kitchen and utility room as well as an extra WC. Several doors from the living room lead out onto the large terrace where there is a large table for al fresco dining and garden furniture including sunloungers. There is a long island-style garden surrounded by the river. Although the mill is set in idyllic countryside, it is situated just 10 minutes from the motorway and 30 minutes from Biarritz, Bayonne and St. Jean de Luz. Pau, San Sebastian and St. Jean Pied de Port are also close by and the various ski resorts are 2 hours' drive away.

Rental Rates:
Autumn/Winter 2010/2011: 1600 Euros (changeover day can be flexible off season)

August 2011: 1,995 Euros - 2 week rentals only (or 1 month rental)
