At the idyllic outskirts of Berwang Residence Sonnleiten welcomes you in the in Tyrol's Zugspitz Arena.
Berwang lies on a sunny alpine plateau at an altitude of 1340 meters and is the highest mountain village in Tyrol's Zugspitz Arena. Besides, the peak of the Zugspitze marks the highest elevation of Germany and reaches 2.963 meters.
Sitting comfortably in a beach chair on our panoramic terrace at the mountain lake of Berwang, our guests can enjoy the overwhelming view of the mountain scenery and plan the next excursions.
Our small guest house is perfectly located for a wonderful holiday full of activities: hiking, mountain climbing, mountain biking and, of course, alpine skiing and all kinds of winter sports.
Best of all, the nearest ski lift of the "Skiing Area Berwang" is right on our doorstep and only 200 meters away from our vacation rental!

We were greeted by our friendly and gracious host who made us feel very welcome. The apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable with everything one would need for a week away. Wonderful location; quiet and yet close to center of historic Fussen. Approximately 10 minutes by car to Neuschwanstein Castle. Lovely walking paths along river. Many sights to see. Delicious restaurants within walking distance. We did have a car, however the train station is a short walk away so no car would be necessary. We would definitely stay here again. It was a most enjoyable and relaxing stay. We would recommend to all. Our apartment had multi levels, however some are all on one level.
