Póvoa de S. Cosme has many other interesting features, in summer, as well as in winter. Being located between the river Mondego and the Estrela Mountain is, without any doubt, its main advantage, because it is possible to practice many winter sports (such as skiing, snowboarding, etc) and, in summer, it is possible to go fishing, swimming or canoeing in the rivers Mondego or Alva. Near the river Mondego, there are also many megalithic monuments and some deserted villages (2 kilometers away from the House of Cedo, in the village of Vieiro) that are very interesting places to visit.
