Description:
In a town known for its historic B & B's, the newly renovated Allison House Inn emerges as one of Niagara-on-the-Lake's finest accommodations. Exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail greet the guest at every turn.
The structure was built on the military grounds of Niagara-on-the-Lake in 1859 and served as the town's first public school. It had four class rooms, two on each level, and was used until 1948 when the new school on King Street was opened. At that time it was converted into a four unit apartment building, and over the years changed hands several times.
Whether you want to warm up in front of the fireplace, or relax after a long day of shopping and wineries, Allison House Inn is the perfect place. We are located only one block from the main street, and one block from the Shaw Festival Theatre. Our rooms are spacious and carefully decorated. Each of the rooms is unique, and all have gas fireplaces, a private sitting area, and ensuite bath. Within each room you will also find a bar fridge stocked with complimentary soft-drinks and juice, cable TV, iron and ironing board, and hair dryers. Our grounds feature large garden areas including a lovely victorian gazebo, perfect for enjoying afternoon tea or reading your favourite book.
We have five guest rooms, one on the main level, and four on the second floor.

Breakfast is served between 8:30 and 9:30 am. You pick the time, it is after all your vacation. But if you are an early riser, the coffee is on at 8:00 am. Our breakfast always begins with a cold spread of yogourt, granola, fresh fruit, and homemade baked goods. These are complemented by a full hot buffet style meal. Eat as much as you like. And, if you have any allergies or special dietary restrictions, we are more than happy to accommodate you.

Rental Rates:
Most of our suites have 17 foot ceilings, a gas fireplace, exposed beams, and large windows. A stairway within the room leads to a loft bedroom. On the main level there is sitting area. Antique furniture, luxurious linens, ensuite bath, cable TV, iron with ironing board, robes, hairdryer, and a fridge stocked with complimentary beverages are some of the amenities in our rooms.
