Valmar Gite is a luxurious rental property situated between Bordeaux and Toulouse, near to Villeneuve-sur-lot, in the Lot et Garonne. A five minute drive takes you to the nearest town of Ste Livrade-sur-lot.
We offer you privacy, comfort and stunning views from the property. You have sole use of the superb pool completed to a high standard in 2007, which basks in the sun all day long.
Although still largely undescovered, there is really lots to do in the Lot et Garonne area. Being only about 3km from the Lot river means there are lots of watersports - canoeing, motorboats, waterskiing, pedaloes, kayaks, even 'hydroplanes', which are like a mini hovercraft, great fun for the kids. Also for the little ones, there is a Theme park 'WalibiAquitaine', near Agen, as well as a climbing adventure park, horse riding and lots more.
For sightseeing, there is an abundance of Chateaux, castles, beautiful 'Bastide' towns and a number of villages entitled 'Les plus beaux villages de france'. Well known as 'The Tuscany of France' - vineyard after vineyard reminds you of the importance of winegrowing in the area, as well as plum orchards from which are produced the famous 'pruneaux d'Agen'. Lots of fantastic restaurants, with food to make your mouth water, not to mention the local markets producing their fresh produce.
If all this sounds a little too much, you may prefer a walk in the local countryside. Walk out of the driveway, onto the lane and it's there waiting for you. Or you may just prefer to lounge around the pool, with a favourite book, soaking up the sun, with a glass of your favourite tipple. Bliss !
