The historic market town of Hexham, dominated by its magnificent abbey is only 15 miles away and offers many facilities including a theatre/cinema, indoor swimming pool and is surrounded by several prestigious golf courses. The National Trust property at Wallington Hall is an interesting visitor attraction close by and trout fly fishing is available at nearby Sweethorpe Lough.
