Silo is situated on the north-east coast of the island of Krk, the largest of the thousand islands in the beautiful Adriatic. About thirty kilometres from the city of Rijeka, after turning off the main road, you will reach the majestic bridge that takes you to the island of Krk. After some twenty kilometres of pleasant driving through a lovely countryside you will reach Šilo. This charming little resort is also well connected with the Crikvenica Riviera by regular boat links Crikvenica-Šilo. The «Rijeka» airport located on the island, facilitates a fast and comfortable arrival. Owing to its favourable geographical position and good transportation links, this island has entered the heart of the old continent and is the closest Adriatic island to Europe.
Silo is a typical tourist resort, ideal for rest and recreation. The sandy beaches, crystal clear sea and numerous coves are ideal for swimming. A calm sea with cool morning and evening breezes provide good opportunities for sailing, wind surfing, rowing, boating and other water sports.
