The fresh air of Mt. Etna, the clear Sicilian sea, the fruits of the land and volcanic fire of Mt. Etna create a magical, fascinating world.
In the quiet countryside around Catania, a short distance from the sea and where Etna just starts to appear, you will find yourselves immersed in a dreamy atmosphere.
The ancient baronial house from the 1500's with its wine cellar has been completely restored and is surrounded by a faboulous forest called “Il Salto del Corvo” (The Crow’s Leap). From the swimming pool and rooms there is a splendid panoramic view of the gulf of Giardini Naxos, Taormina, and at your shoulder you will enjoy the view of Mt. Etna's summit.
Scents of cherries is a farmhouse with eight hectares of land. The farm has earned organic certification for farming with a traditional terracing system. The main product is a class of cherries known as “Durone dell’Etna DOP”, but the farm also produces blood oranges, clementines, plums and other fruits.
If you want to know our land and its products, enjoy our sun and clear seas, whilst immersed in fresh air and suggestive woodlands, “Scents of cherries” is your ideal destination.
The farm offers rooms with ensuite bathroom, TV, air conditioning and hotel facilities. Most rooms have a sea view and some look over the swimming pool. Also available are rooms with a terrace, a 50 square meter suite, and a luxury apartment with a fireplace. There is a private parking area, a play area for children, and lawns. We have access for the disabled.
We offer all the flavors of our land
Breakfast is served in a prestigious dining area with views of the swimming pool. Our breakfast includes our own farm products and other local specialities.
At the farm we encourage you to discover traditional flavors. You will find a wide range of typical Sicilian products many of which are our own certified organic products.
We have a stand where we sell a selection of local products such as honey, marmalades and jams, a variety of vegetables marinated in oil, and a selection of the best wines from Mt. Etna and Sicily.
