There are swimming opportunities galore; both in nature in the various lakes and rivers, but also in the quiet indoor- or outdoor swimming pool in Mangualde. At only 3 km distance you will find the cosy town Mangualde, with its many restaurants and shops. Viseu (18 km) is a pretty old city with many attractions. Coimbra, Porto and Aveiro (sea and beach at ca. 1 hour's drive) are ideal for excursions and day trips. In Alcafache you can enjoy the Thermal baths, massages and mud baths. Golf enthusiasts will find what they need on the Montebelo golf course in Viseu. In short: there is enough to see and to do in the immediate proximity.
