The area surrounding the cottage is very unspoilt and definitely the Real France, it is an ideal holiday location suited to families and groups wishing to enjoy the quiet and a feeling of open space.

At La Trottiere we aim to make your holiday as comfortable and luxurious as possible, from the crisp bed linen and fluffy towels to the helpful, generous, welcome pack. The house is renovated to a very high standard, and includes many thoughtful features to help make you feel truly at home.

The house has four bedrooms over three floors with a convenient layout, ideal for two families sharing.

The ground floor consists of a double bedroom and a triple bedroom (small double and single). There is a shower room with WC, basin and large multi-jet walk-in shower, the room also benefits from a heated floor.

The first floor has a large kitchen, with island unit and stools for communal cooking. It’s equipped with range cooker, dishwasher, microwave and large fridge freezer. There is also a small sofa for relaxing with a glass of wine while dinner cooks! This floor also has a utility room with washing machine, extra drinks fridge and sink, there is plenty of space for coats and shoes. The large living/dining room has plenty of seating for eight people, dining table and chairs, TV (with UK channels), DVD and large modern wood burning stove, for chillier evenings.

The second floor completes the sleeping accommodation, with a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. There is a bathroom with jacuzzi bath, WC, basin and separate shower cubicle, it also has a heated floor.

Outside there are large enclosed gardens with parking area, large terrace which overlooks the fantastic views with outside dining for eight people and a BBQ.

The house is just over an hour from Caen ferry port and about two hours drive from both Tours and Dinard airports. The area is very unspoilt and definitely the ‘Real France’, it is ideally suited to families wishing to enjoy the quiet and a feeling of space. The local area is ideal for cycling and walking, with plenty of quiet lanes and footpaths for whiling away sunny afternoons.

Mayenne is renowned for its fishing and there are several places to enjoy other water sports nearby. The house is ideally suited for day trips to Paris, Mont St. Michel, The D-day Beaches, The Bayeux Tapestry, Le Mans and The Loire Valley.
