Situated in a traditional, unspoilt area of France, the Berry, yet with a wide variety of activities and things to see, including visiting historic chateaux - such as the nearby chateaux at Culan, Meillant or Ainay-le-Vieil, or slightly further afield to the more well-known chateaux of the Loire: Chambord, Chenonceau or Villandry; tasting delicious local wines at Chateaumeillant or Sancerre; watching an exciting Grand Prix at Magny Cours (1 hour away); or just taking it easy fishing or birdwatching on the doorstep.
Two adjoining properties (sleeping 8 and 4) with connecting doors allowing for larger groups. They share swimming pool, jacuzzi, pool table and mature garden. Each gite has a fully equipped kitchen (including washing machine, fridge, microwave, kettle etc). Le grand Champiau has three twin bedrooms and one double; le petit Champiau has one double bedroom under the eaves and two single futons. Both gites have comfortable lounges with wood-burning fires and electric heaters. Outside on each dining terrace there is wooden garden furniture, a gas barbecue, and loungers. All linen and towels are provided; prices inclusive of all utility charges (excepting low season). Both pool and jacuzzi conform to current security standards.
