Le Pavillon makes an ideal holiday place for families or groups of friends who enjoy, in addition to lazing by the pool, outdoor activities, observing wildlife, discovering history and exploring towns, eating in nice restaurants, or meeting local people. We are happy for guests to bring their dogs as long as they are kept under control.

The ground floor has access on two sides to the garden and terrace, a large garden/sitting room with sofas and TV, a summer kitchen and utility room with washing machine, a shower room and WC. There are two bedrooms, which can be double or twin, and cot(s)are available. There is a double sofa bed in the living space

The upper floor has access by stairs inside and out, an open plan dining room and modern kitchen with dishwasher and microwave. The bathroom and WC are separate. There are two bedrooms which can be double or twin


The garden is large and safely enclosed for children to play in with children's toys, a sandpit and paddling pool provided. There is a terrace with garden furniture and barbecue, sun, and shade from established trees.

There is parking for 2 cars under the hornbeam trees which provide shade in the garden when it is needed. The large garden is mostly lawn but there is a south facing terrace. A gate in the hedge at the bottom of the garden gives access to the swimming pool which is about 30 metres away.

Your holiday at Le Pavillon could just be passed relaxing in the garden looking at the view, basking in the sun or swimming in the swimming pool in the chateau domain. However there are many other outdoor activities accessible from Mariol. There are plenty of waymarked walks in the area, many of which can be taken from Le Pavillon and we can give you descriptions of these. There are also routes for mountain bike cyclists. The whole area is very unspoilt and there is lots to explore. Nature lovers will enjoy the abundant wildlife: numerous species of flowers and birds, streams with fish, foxes, pine martins, deer and wild boar hiding away in the woods.There are tennis courts 10 minutes away in St Yorre and rivers and swimming lakes in the mountains nearby. The rivers Allier and Sioule offer canoeing for both novices and the more experienced canoeist.

In winter 1 month lets or longer for 1000€ per month + electricity.
