Surtainville lies 25 km South-west of Cherbourg in the Southern part of Normandy. It is situated in the department Manche approx. 1 km. from the sea and at clearsighted weather you can see the Mont St Michel from this spot. Immediately at the coast line lie the Channel islands Guernsey and Jersey. Barneville-Carteret lies only 11 km from the village. In the near vicinity of Surtainville you can extensively walk, ride a bike or horseback riding. The historical village of approx. 1000 inhabitants is a romantic village with all facilities. At the beach there are several (water)sports options such as surfing, sailing or char à voile ( a kind of buggy with a sail). This region is also a pleasant place to stay for the more experienced fishermen. Your holidayhouse is situated approx. 200 m from the centre of the village. It concerns an old renovated village gite with the necessary romance. Around the house there is a small parcel of 70 m² with a small garden with terrace. The house also contains a garage.
