The wide Valencian door opens onto a large L shaped vaulted beamed living space where there are two sitting areas & a formal dining area.Reverse action air con, electric and gas fires for winter holidays. 1 double & 1 twin bedroom, fully tiled bathroom and shower. The kitchen/diner with all modern conveniences opens onto the patio which is private & has garden furniture & gas BBQ. Local amenities are available. The small city of Gandia and the Moorish old town of Oliva are about 5/8kms for larger shopping, beaches, historic sights, markets & people watching on the paseo. All beach sports, horse riding,scuba diving and walking are catered for & fact sheets are available if you email the owner. Valencia is easily accessible by train which winds through vineyards, orange groves and rice fields: visit the Cathedral and see the Holy Grail, the largest indoor market in Europe & the new l'Oceanographic & l'Hemesferic Museums. Peniscola has the castle where El Cid was filmed & Elche has an ancient palm forest & a Basillica for Dan Brown fans-it has a life size statue of Jose Marie Escriver, founder of Opus Dei. There are Theme/Safari & Water Parks nearby. As well as our famous fiestas (la Fallas & Moors & Christians)the area is as yet untouched by mass tourism and is a wonderful place for a relaxing holiday whether you want a beach holiday or lap up the history. Gandia is the place where Spanish people come to take their holidays and even though you may not speak the language the local people are very friendly and helpful and we feel sure you will enjoy a wonderful holiday.
