Our two storey, two bedroom cottage and large vineyard/garden is fully furnished and self catering. It is available for year round rental. The view by our house is the most photographed spot in the region.

Located on the banks of the Armancon River in the medieval town of Semur en Auxois, below a stunning view of ancient towers, it is a charming example of medieval architecture and is a local stone and beam construction. It has recently been renovated by local artisans and quality furniture and fabrics have been used to provide a cosy home away from home.

Facilities include: - large, practical eat-in kitchen with all modern appliances: hob-oven, microwave, dish washer, kettle, toaster, iron/ironing board, fridge /freezer, cutlery, crockery, glassware and cooking utensils.

Separate, comfortable living room has exposed stone walls and beams, oak floor, wall tapestry, leather sofa and chairs, TV, DVD, WiFi Internet connection and telephone for incoming/outgoing calls.

Large bathroom with enclosed shower, vintage sink, heated towel rail and separate W/C.
Utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer.

A romantic main double bedroom which is warm and inviting and has an antique carved wood and velvet sleigh bed, large armoire, full length mirror and balcony view.

A second bedroom is simply decorated with an upholstered French bed with large armoire and full length mirror.

All bed linen, towels and cleaning equipment is provided.
Enjoy the tranquil; private garden situated a short walk from the cottage. Found behind rose granite walls it contains a vineyard, fruit trees, berry bushes and flowers. A BBQ grill, picnic table and chairs are available for your use.

Attached to the garden is a garage with space for one car.

Semur en Auxois is in the heart of Burgundy and is a thriving modern town as well as a rich historic site. Attractions include shops, weekly market, cafes, restaurants, live performance theatres, museum, ancient ramparts, La Collegiale de Notre Dame with rare stained glass windows. The town is a short, up hill walk from the cottage.

You can also go fishing, bike riding, walking, horse riding, swimming, wine tasting or to the cinema

The auto route is 10 Km away and Dijon is 80 Km.

The cottage best suits two couples or a family of 5 or 6.

Due to the layout of the cottage it is not suitable for those with mobility problems.
The cottage is non smoking.

Rental Rates:
Summer season - May- September - 895 euros per week.

Winter season - October-April 695 euros per week



The cottage is available for year round rental.
