Lana and Geoff Wardmans smallholding is set in the magnificently picturesque Serra da Marao Mountains,aprox.60kilometers from Sao Carneiro airport.in Porto,which is served by Ryanair.The couple have lived here now for 18 years,running their self-sufficient farm and looking after a variety of small animals.They also have a small vineyard and make all their own wine on the premises,harvest time is usually around early October depending on the years weather.The surrounding countryside is perfect for walking,cycling or touring by car.There are an abundance of beautiful and historic towns within easy reach-Amarante set on the banks of the River Tamega with its historic Roman Bridge-Peso da Regua,the heart of the Port wine region,with daily cruises on th River Douro-Lamego a pretty town with many churches a Cathederal and castle,its also the home of Raposiera,a sparkling wine,the wine can be tasted and the caves explored. The house is fully self-contained,kept clean by the owner,who can help should any problems arise during your holiday.All bed linen and towels are provided and there is use of a washing machine. The dinning kitchen is large and practical with everything needed for ahappy holiday,fridge-freezer,full cooker,coffee maker ,kettle ,etc:The lounge is also large ,comfortable with beautiful views .Bathroom has full bath with overhead shower,basin and bidet,towel rails.The 3 double bedrooms are well appointed,one has twin beds ,all have good open views.The outside is open and surrounded by the vineyard and gardens.There is a large patio with table and chairs and a bar.b.q.,also sunloungers and deck chairs.The hard standing to the front of the house can be used for parking and has a Laz-Y-Spa..The house and land is totaly enclosed by fencing for privacy.
