We find the hostel “SMARAGDI” in a breathtaking locality, in the side of Ypsariou terms with panoramic view in the graphic marine of Skala Sotiros in altitude 500m, in the limits of the traditional settlement of Sotira in Thassos.

It is a village with marvelous nature that combines the beauty of mountainous landscape with the immense light blue of the sea that unfold front of you. Waters that spurt from sources all year refresh the visitors in the square of village under the age-long planes. Separate interest presents the interior of settlement, with the architectural physiognomy of old stone-built houses, with the narrow alleys, and the homonym Byzantine church.

It abstains 3kms from beach and 15kms from the capital of island, Limena. The island of Thassos is connected coastal with lines Kavala-Prinos and Keramoti-Limenas with regular itineraries. The airport of Chrysoupoli, in a distance only 5km from the port of Keramoti, facilitates the visit to the island every season from everywhere inside and outside Greece
