Triplex on the Asian part of Istanbul

Istanbul is the only city in the world which spreads over two continents: Asia and Europe are separated by the Bosphorus. The historic city of Istanbul is situated on a peninsula flanked on three sides by the Sea of Marmara, the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn. It has been the capital of three great empires, the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman empires.
Uskudar is the historical location at Asian side of the city. It has a more relaxed atmosphere and therefore better quality of life than the overcrowded European side. This area includes large historic mosques, many businesses and markets, and is a transportation hub.
Uskudar also has the smell of the sea, the sound of foghorns, motorboats and seagulls and one of the best views of the city. It is directly opposite the old city of Eminonu and crossing the Bosphorus is easy by boat.
My house is in Dogancilar, a pleasant district on the hill with plenty of trees between the buildings and a small park. There is a wide avenue winding uphill from Uskudar which has plenty of shops and cafes, and also a theater and a historical mosque.
Uskudar takes 5 mn by taxi and 15 mn by walk.
