Located in the heart of the Sabine Hills area, it is surrounded by charming hilltop, medieval villages like Montasola, Casperia, Cottanello, and Roccantica. The area is rich in history and landscapes: from Montasola, several itineraries will let you explore the area's beautiful landscape and natural resources, and a 30-minute drive will take you to medieval Farfa Abbey or St. Francis' Greccio hermitage. Cascata delle Marmore, the highest waterfall in Europe, is only 35 km (22 mi) away. You can easily reach historic Viterbo, the Popes' City; on the way, visit the famous "Parco dei Mostri" (Park of the Monsters), near Orsini Villa in Bomarzo, a small medieval village. Also close to Terni and Rieti.
