Year-Round Lake Cottage Near Ski Area

Description:
Large cottage on Metcalf Pond, a lovely small lake in Fletcher/Jeffersonville. Great fishing and swimming in summer, great skiing in winter, great relaxation any time. It is the size of a full house, with all conveniences of home including full kitchen, laundry facilities, and a large private yard. It is fully furnished, including all linens, towels, dishes, cookware, even a small amount of food stocked in the fridge, so you don't have to pack a lot of stuff or go shopping right after arrival.

There are many extras, including an outdoor hot tub, a cozy wood-burning fireplace on an enclosed porch, a gas-burning fireplace in the living room, a children's swing set in the large back yard, a charcoal grill on the deck, and two fire pits -- one in the back yard, the other on the lake frontage. We supply a rowboat, a canoe, a kayak, and a paddleboat.

For winter guests, we can supply discounted ski passes at Smugglers Notch, which is a 13-mile drive. In exchange for that short drive, you get super lodging at a small fraction of the price you would pay at the slopes.

Rental Rates:
The cottage is available year-round. Peak rates are in the summer and fall, $725 per week. The rest of the year, including ski season, the rate is $675 per week. The only additional cost is Vermont's rooms tax, which is 9 percent.



Outside of the peak summer-fall season, we accept reservations for shorter periods, such as three-day weekends. Those rates vary depending on the time of year.



Reservations are secured by a deposit of $100 for up to a week, and the remainder due by the scheduled date of arrival. The deposit is, in most cases, not refundable, so it is wise to make a reservation only after you are quite certain of your travel plans. We accept all major credit cards, as well as checks, money orders, or cash.
