Situation:
Spa Heviz is situated on the northwest shore of Lake Balaton, 6 km from the town Keszthely. The „miraculous healing effects” of the Heviz Lake were already discovered by the Romans. The Spa is the largest natural hot water spring in Europe. The lake covers an area of 4,5 hectares. The temperature of the water is about 32-33°C in summer and 25-27°C in winter, therefore outdoor bathing is possible during the whole year. In the thermal lake is a bath house for indoor bathing too. The Heviz Lake has a natural healing factor. It is the only thermal lake in the world that poses healing powers both in its waters as well as in its surface mud and enables treatment for many different ailments.
