Situation:
This royal villa 'Dagpauwoog'(= peacock butterfly) with its thatched roof stands on a recreation/golf park under construction with a new 9-holes golf-course, bordering on the 'Drents Friese Wold' nature reserve close to Appelscha. The villas in the park are literally built 'in between holes'. You can access the course rightaway, stepping out of the house. Of course the safety of the guests and the villas has been taken into consideration. The park, when finished, will consist of a hilly terrain with variations in height from up to 2 m. and planted with indigenous bushes and plants. The park is part of the nature reserve between Appelscha, Hoogersmilde, Diever and Vledder. Here you find, apart from quiet and space, plenty of occasion in the immediate vicinity to undertake several activities in order to let go of the hectic of your existence for a while. Opposite the park are an outdoor swimming-pool, and bicycles can be rented in the park.
