Highlands Reserve Golf and Country Club is an 18 hole golf course designed by Mike Dasher and opened in 1998. Named after the venerable Royal Troon Golf Club of Scotland, one of the world's most famous golf courses, Highlands Reserve is now Orlando's most requested golf course for customers of specialist golf travel agencies.
It was nominated as one of America's Top 50 Courses and has been awarded 3.5 Stars by Golf Digest's "Places to Play" guide. It has a decidedly Scottish feel and is unusual for Florida courses in that it has great natural sand traps (being built on a natural sand deposit) and excellent views as the course with the highest elevation in the area.
