La Marina lies between Santa Pola and Guardamar. It is about 20 minutes by car from Alicante airport and about 45 minutes from Murcia (San Javier) airport. Budget airlines operate daily flights into both airports from various UK and European airports.
There are 2 swimming pool/sports complexes on the urbanisation.
La Marina is located in the heart of the Costa Blanca. Torrevieja, Elche, Guardamar del Segura are all within 20 minutes drive. About 4-5kms away you can discover the blue flag beaches of La Marina with its 5km of pure golden white sand.In summer there is a bus service connecting the urbanisation and the beach
There are also local bus services to Torrevieja,Cartagena,Elche and Alicante.
Coach excursions are available daily to local points of interest.
The urbanisation of La Marina offers all the amenities one should need. The local market on Thursday and Sunday bustles with stalls providing the finest of Spanish leathers, gifts and fresh, locally grown fruit and vegetables.

We stayed at El Pinet which is right next to the beach and is a fantastic location. It was nice not having to travel from the urbanisation of La Marina every day as we have done in previous years. It is a shame that the building work in the area has been put on hold. It looks unsightly but is still an excellent holiday location.
