Monsireigne is situated between Chantonnay and Pouzauges. It is a small village with a lovely church, post office, chemist, hairdressers and small shop. There are two very good restaurants close by and the supermarket only a 10 minute drive. The surrounding countryside is undulating and Pouzauges (10 minutes) is famed for being one of the highest points in the South West of France.
