Famagusta has become the islands most popular location because of its crystal clear coastline. Built up of many villages, the town of Paralimni and the major resorts of Protaras and Agia Napa. There are many golden sandy beaches large and small stretching over ten miles with shallow waters and no shortage of water sports. The weather in Famagusta is generally pure sunshine and virtually cloudless throughout the summer months. Cyprus is full of historic and cultural sites including the two beautiful churches in the town of Paralimni which attract visitors from all over the world. Paralimni also offers a mixture of traditional and modern shopping along with a variety of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. The beautiful Cape Greko's National Park, an area of national beauty is well worth a visit and famous for its cliff diving. The area offers many sight seeing trips including boat trips to the North (a different Cyprus) or a trip to Troodos Mountains is a popular day out.
