Belturbet is a lively and bustling town on the River Erne. An excellent base for exploring the river and the Shannon-Erne Canal, cruisers can be hired in Belturbet and the marina in the town facilitates cruisers of all sizes. The area is a magnet for anglers as there is a variety of catch to be had in the local waters. Centrally cocated for day-trips to places like Donegal, Sligo, Omagh, Armagh, Belfast. Great base for genealogy research based holidays. Golf a speciality in this area with many golf courses

The river and numerous surrounding lakes make Belturbet a very popular destination for anglers. With several restaurants and many of the town's pubs also providing food, there are many options for eating out. Belturbet is currently celebrating its 400 years of being a Town with a Charter, granted by King James between 1610 and 1613. Belurbet has its own Town Council with elections held every 5 years. A busy commercial town with all types of traders and business premises. There is a wide choice of restaurants including traditional irish cuisine, Italian, Indian and Chinese, with many providing a delivery service.
