Montignoso

Montignoso is small village located between Massa and Forte dei Marmi, between land and sea. Its geographical position is particular because it is close to the sea and to the crowded beaches of Versilia and also at the feet of the imposing mountains of the Apuan Alps famous for the views of the coast and for the marble quesrries. Montignoso is dominated by its castle, the Aghinolfi castle which allowed the control of the territory below it. Perfect position for hiking lovers, beach holidays, daily escursions in all famous regions and cities of Tuscany. Cinque Terre and the ligurian caost easy to reach (30 min). Main distances: Massa 7km, Carrara 14 km, Forte dei Marmi 13km, Mare (Cinquale) 10km, Viareggio 29km, Pisa 55km, Lucca 48km, Firenze 133 km, Siena 185km, Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore) 60 km.
