Milton

Milton is surrounded by the beauty of natures. Halton Conservation Authority, has numerous sites to walk, hike, bike and cross country/downhill ski within minutes of the town. Crawford Lake,(HCA) has an Indian village to explore as well as many trails around the miramictic Lake. Hilton Falls (HCA)has trials leading out to the falls where you can feed the birds from your hand. Mountsberg has the Birds of Prey Sanctuary with demonstrations throughout the day. Kelso (HCA)has many trails for bike rides and the sandy beach to swim in. Glen Eden is located at Kelso and has downhill skiing/snowboarding available with qualified instructors. Saturdays from mid May until mid October, has the local market on Main Street. Milton is ringed with numerous public golf courses. Springridge Farms, 5 km away, is a great outing in summer and in June they have the strawberry festival. September 1 weekend is the Steam Era and late Sept is the Fall Fair with exhibits, rides, and the "crash em up derby", where cars do their best to smash each other. Mohawk Racetrack (Horses and casino)is 20 min away and runs from May-October.
