Half a mile from the picturesque village of Hawkshead which has Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth connections together with inns providing good food. Excellent walks from the door including the famous beauty spot, Tarn Hows. There is a twin-bedded room and a double bedroom next to the pretty shower room. The whole of the 1st floor of this former barn has been carefully renovated to a very high standard providing comfortable accommodation of charm and character. Many of the old oak and pine features have been retained and there is an old stone fireplace. The caring resident owners live in the adjacent Georgian farmhouse. There is ample private parking. There is fishing nearby on Esthwaite Lake and boating on Coniston Water. This area is very suitable for mountain bikers who find our lockable bike store most useful.
