Cedars Cottage Resort is a family oriented, housekeeping cottage resort located on the shores of beautiful Lake Eugenia, at the south entrance to the picturesque Beaver Valley. We have both traditional style 2 bedroom cottages, modern 3 bedroom chalets and a century farm house that has been beautifully restored and upgraded . The grounds are well kept, with spacious areas for enjoying the sunshine and mature trees provide plenty of shade.
Our smaller cottages will sleep 4, the large two bedroom cottages sleep up to 6 people. The chalets will accommodate a maximum of 8 people each. The farm house will sleep 12 people. All linens are provided. The chalets include air-conditioning, ceiling fans and a four piece bath that includes a whirlpool tub. Each cottage, chalet and the farm house has a microwave, colour cable TV, it's own propane BBQ, deck, deck chairs, fire pit and picnic table, and a wood stove, for atmosphere.
Children love to play on our shallow, sandy beach. Meet at the outdoor heated swimming pool. We also have a games room with pool table, shuffleboard and table tennis. The use of canoes and peddle boats, life jackets and water safety kits are included. Rental motor boats are available. Lake Eugenia is well known for its great bass fishing.
Cedars is only minutes from the Bruce Trail, Canada's oldest and longest marked trail. The Beaver Valley is a great place to start on the trail. Enjoy the incredible view from on top of Old Baldy. There are several hikes available from this area. Cedars has several golf courses within a short distance and the back roads are great for cycling. For the alpine skiers we are close to some of Ontario's most popular ski slopes, Talisman, Beaver Valley, Blue Mountain. For those who enjoy cross country skiing we are a 15 minute drive from Kolapore Uplands Wilderness Area. The scenery is incredible, there are 7 waterfalls in Grey County, look out over Beaver Valley from the top of Old Baldy Mountain, explore the Feversham Gorge. Visit the Scenic Caves near Collingwood.
Coming fall 2006, walk the trails on our 40 acres right down to the undisturbed wilderness at the south end of Lake Eugenia.
